Lior is a General Partner and Co-Founder of Hanaco Ventures. Based in New York, he focuses on supporting Israeli entrepenuers building their companies in the United States, with a particular interest in consumer-facing startups and frontier technologies such as AI, blockchain, and drones.
Lior has invested in some of the most prominent Israeli-founded startups, including Via Transportation, Lemonade Insurance, Talkspace, Feedvisor, Selina, Panoply, SalesPredict (acq by eBay), Honeybook, Percepto, and Panorays. His track record also extends to leading US companies such as Common Living, DigitalOcean, SweetGreen and byChloe.
Before co-founding Hanaco, Lior was a General Partner at Elevator Venture Capital, where he led the fund’s US presence. Prior to that, he was an investor at Pitango Venture Capital.
Lior holds an LLB and LLM from the Interdisciplinary Center in Herzliya, Israel, and served as a Captain in the Israeli Paratroopers. He lives in New York City with his wife and three children.
