Lior is a General Partner and Co-founder of Hanaco Ventures. Based in New York, Lior is primarily focused on investing in Israeli entrepreneurs based in the United States. Lior is most interested in consumer-facing startups and frontier technologies (AI, blockchain, drones).
Lior invested in category-leading Israel-founded startups, including Via Transportation, Lemonade Insurance, Talkspace, Feedvisor, Selina, Panoply, SalesPredict (acq by eBay), Honeybook, Percepto, and Panorays, as well as US-founded companies such as Common Living, Digital Ocean, SweetGreen and byChloe’s.
Before co-founding Hanaco, Lior was a General Partner at Elevator Venture Capital, where he led the fund’s US office. Lior was previously an investor at Pitango Venture Capital.
Lior holds an LLB and LLM from the Interdisciplinary Center in Herzliya, Israel, and served as a Captain in the Israeli Paratroopers.
Lior, his wife, and three children live in New York City.
