Daniel is the Co-Founder and CEO of Via, a global transportation technology company transforming how cities and transit agencies plan and operate mobility systems. Before founding Via in 2012, Daniel served as a director at D. E. Shaw Research, where he built supercomputers to accelerate drug discovery. Earlier, he developed avionic systems for F-15 and F-16 aircraft in the Israeli Air Force after graduating from the elite Talpiot program. Daniel holds a PhD in Neuroscience from Stanford University, an MSc in Electrical Engineering from Tel Aviv University, and a BSc in Physics and Mathematics from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
